SHIPPING CONTAINERS

If you rent a shipping container then we DO NOT insure your contents.

If you require your contents to be covered by insurance, please contact your home or commercial insurer who may be able to add offsite storage to your policy for a small fee.

STORE ROOMS, OFFICES & WAREHOUSE SPACE

For Storage Rooms, Office and Warehouses, we provide contents cover.

This is added to your order when you make a booking. An insurance charge is applied each time you pay (monthly, 3 monthly or 12 monthly) dependent on the value of your contents and we have a FREE OF CHARGE option that gives you basic cover up to £100.

Contents cover for Store Rooms, Offices and Warehouse cost the following and you can choose this when you make a booking

• Up to £100 worth of contents cover – FREE OF CHARGE
• Up to £1000 worth of contents cover – £10 + VAT per month
• Up to £2000 worth of contents cover – £15 + VAT per month
• Up to £5000 worth of contents cover – £25 + VAT per month
• Up to £10,000 worth of contents cover – £35 + VAT per month

If you have your own commercial or home insurance insurance policy, then we can accept this and we will charge a £5 + VAT administration fee each month. .

You will be asked to keep up to date a list of contants in your store room. It is important to keep this up to date whenever you move items in and out of your unit.

Please make sure the descriptions are as acurate as possible.

For example if it’s a TV, a typical description may say “TV, Samsung, flat screen, purchase date November 2019, value at purchase £800.”

Anything not listed on the itemised list IS NOT COVERED. This cover does NOT cover on a ‘new for old’ basis, your items will be independantly valued by an assessor and market value woill be paid.

Our contents cover is designed to pay you for the following reasons:

• Actual physical loss of or damage to our customers’ property caused by fire, lightning, explosion, earthquake, aircraft or articles dropped there from
• Storm, flood, bursting &/or leaking pipes, ingress of water or other liquid substance
• Moth, insect or vermin from an external cause
• *Theft accompanied by forcible and violent entry to or exit from the building or storage unit
• Riot, strike, civil commotion, malicious damage
• Impact by vehicle

*Please note, IMPORTANT THEFT CLAUSE INFORMATION:

the main gate should always be locked behind you. You should always lock your storage room and when you leave you should always activate your theft alarm on your room by using your access code in the exit yellow box by the pink sliding doors. Theft is ONLY covered if all of these things have been done.
