You need to be 18 years of age to rent a container.
Yes, within 24 hours typically.
As long as you have provided the correct ID, paid your first months rental and deposit, we will then approve your identification and provide details of your container and security codes within the next working 24 hours. Please note our office is only open weekdays, so if you place your order over a weekend or bank holiday please do not expect to move in until the next working day.
Containers: No. Once you have gate access & container access codes you can gain access 24/7.
Storage Rooms: 7am to 7pm everyday including weekends.
Yes you can purchase your own padlock, however we do provide a free padlock with every store room or container. The container padlock is a ‘lock box’ type lock with every container free of charge, which is the most secure way of locking your container.
We can cut off any type of lock from a door handle for a fee of £35+VAT.
If you have lost the keys to your own lock box lock, and we did not provide it, then we will need to employ a welder to cut away the lock box and your lock. This is a very expensive service as whe will then have to reweld the lock box onto the container and re paint the box. This service costs £230+VAT as we pay outside contractors to provide this service.
We provide our recommended padlock free of charge with every container or storeroom rental. These locks are designed to fit under the welded steel lock box on your container, or the right size for store room doors.

We DO NOT recommend you place locks on shipping container door handles. If you decide to use your own lock, please try and find a lock that fits under the steel lock box of containers. If you decide to use your own lock for store rooms, we recommend you leave our lock on the door and use the extra locking hole to attached a second lock.
Please note, if you loose the keys to a lock we have provided, we can either get two extra keys cut for that lock, or provide you a new lock with two keys, for a charge of £25+VAT.
